25% of the Friday Melee competitors at Supernova double DQ'd (377/1515). While higher than other majors such as Genesis X2 (8%) and Supernova 2024 (11%), Supernova still projects to have 1800+ Melee competitors, the largest *after DQs* since Evo 2016 (whose DQ rate is unknown).

Today in Smash hijinks: Rolex the Kazuya main, regular attendee of the Macomb IL local Spellbound Smash, has made the top 100 of the Great River Valley (central/western IL + eastern IA) rankings with a ~30% winrate. There’s only one issue with this: Rolex is a level 9 CPU.

The Pokemon World Championship is funny, sometimes you have a plausible grand finals matchup in swiss round 2 and you just gotta hold that

I don’t really care if I get called a scrub for this, but this is bad game design as soon as the game is being played for tens of thousands of dollars. IMO it should be something like draw 9, play 1st mon, keep 2, shuffle & prize the other 6, draw the rest of your opening hand.
