🚧 ROAD WORK 🚧: Tonight (7/8/25) FDOT will be conducting valve adjustments along Flamingo Rd, just north of Pines Blvd. Two southbound lanes of Flamingo Rd may be temporarily blocked. At least one southbound lane will remain open at all times. Drive carefully through the area!

ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Officers are responding to the area of 880 SW 145 Avenue regarding reports of an individual seen in the area carrying a gun. No reports of shots being fired. Multiple officers are responding. Please remain clear of the area while we investigate.

UPDATE: The individual has been located by police. The individual was carrying an air gun. There are no safety concerns for the surrounding area.

🚨 NEED TO LOCATE 🚨: Around 10PM on 7/8/25 in the Pasadena Lakes community, a suspect stole 1-year-old labradoodle Mia from her gated yard. Mia is microchipped with her owner's information. Please contact Detective Abbey at 954-901-5336 or [email protected] with information.

UPDATE: Last night (7/11/25) Mia was returned home by an unknown subject who left her in her owner's back patio. She has been happily reunited with her family. Our investigation into the burglary remains ongoing.

Our Traffic Unit is once again reminding drivers to SLOW DOWN ✋ as we conduct enforcement for Operation Southern Slow Down. Speeding is a major complaint that we receive from residents, and our officers are working hard to keep our roadways safe!

ATTENTION DRIVERS: Eastbound Pines Boulevard at Douglas Road is temporarily shutdown due to a traffic crash. Please avoid the area until the roadway is cleared.

UPDATE: The roadway has been reopened.

Following an extensive investigation by police detectives, the suspect was identified as 28-year-old Daniel Pencley of Miramar, FL. Pencley was contacted by detectives & turned himself in to Broward County Jail on 7/23/25. Pencley is charged with one count of Attempted Murder.
