On Tuesday, Dosbarth Rowan took part in a Race Day for our GreenPower Car Project! Our team was called 'Team Fire' and it's fair to say, our car went like lightning! The children had a brilliant day and loved racing our car around the track! 🚗

School Sports Day This will run on Friday 11th July where pupils in Year 7-9 (Yr. 10 on work experience) have the opportunity to represent their house and compete against their peers. More Information will follow

The local authority would like to run focus groups in a cross section of RCT schools. One of these sessions will run at Porth Community School at 9am on Monday 7th July. The full letter including how you register to attend have been shared on class charts

Year 10 Work Experience Good luck to our Year 10 pupils who are starting their work experience today. Just a reminder that if you are unable to attend, it is essential that you contact the school and the employer.

Please can we ask that those picking pupils up from the Drayton Manor trip park in front of C Block (the gates will be open) and not obstruct the lane into the school or the bus turning circle. This will ensure that the buses are able to pull on to school site. Many Thanks

Sports Day 2025 - 11/7/25 Pupils who are attending Sports Day may wear sports clothing in their house colours or their PE kit. Please bring suncream, hats and plenty of fluids. A packed lunch will be required. Pupils in receipt of free school meals will be provided with lunch.

The school PTA will also be selling light refreshments to raise funds for future PCS events, so pupils may bring a small amount of money if they wish. Pupils are to attend school for registration at 8.40am.

They will then be transported to Aberdare Stadium and return to school at approximately 2.30pm. To ensure all pupils’ safety and wellbeing, no members of the public or parents/carers will be able to attend on this occasion. We appreciate your understanding.

Yesterday the year 8 netball team won the Graham Lewis Plate 2025! This was out of 16 different schools! Well done Girls the whole school are very proud of you.

The year 8's were successful in winning their first RCT tournament. This has ensured their invitation to RSR's sport presentation night this evening with Gavin Henson! The boys scored a total of 16 try's throughout the tournament and only conceded 2!

Examination results will be available for collection in school on Thursday 21st of August. Results will be available from the Y Goedwig Hall at the following times 9am - Year 11 pupils 10am - Year 10 pupils
