Today I presented a review at the Boar Semen Preservation conference boarsemen2024.com, on the possibility to improve the welfare of breeding boars by promoting positive welfare. I hope this is just another small step to improve 🐷 welfare.

Listening the great talk from Margit Bak Jensen presenting COST Action - Positive animal welfare (LIFT) on Positive Animal Welfare at WAFL2024. The talk includes the definition of PAW, how it should be measured and ways of improvement.

Gerard Martin presents at WAFL2024 the #MoreWelfare desk research with Animals EFSA on AW assessment schemes. Some conclusions are a lack of schemes on aquatic species and the rise of PLF indicators to be included in AW assessment.
