Happy Birthday! It's 123 years since the Admiralty approved the formation of the Royal Marines Artillery Cadet Corps at Eastney. Joined by the Royal Naval Cadet Corps in 1904 to later become Volunteer Cadet Corps.


On Thursday, several Royal Marines cadets from the Volunteer Cadet Corps attended the Ceremony of the Dues at HM Tower of London alongside fellow cadets from the SCC and CCF. Congratulations to CSgt (VCC) Andrea Warne & WO2 (VCC) Mike Phillips on the presentation of their bronze Volunteer Service Award celebrating 5 years as cadet force adult volunteers in the Volunteer Cadet Corps. These certificates are a small way of saying ‘thank you’, more to come soon.


This week, @ComdVCC retires after 42 years exemplary service to Volunteer Cadet Corps. Holding nearly every position within the VCC, including Company Commander, Training Officer, Chief Instructor, Adjutant and latterly Commander VCC, we are sad to see Col Spratt leaving us. Read more ⤵️


The torch of knowledge changes hands as the current Lt Col (VCC) Chris Spratt steps down from his Command on 31 Mar 2024 The Royal Navy has appointed Lt Adam Hearn RN as the next Commander Volunteer Cadet Corps. And just like that, my last X post as the Executive Officer (Support) to Volunteer Cadet Corps. It’s been an incredible, sometimes emotional, 4 years in the volunteer role but I’ve loved every minute! Thank you to the cadets & volunteers of the VCC, you’re an incredible team. Never change!
