The joint workshop of Iliad & Blue-Cloud 2026, concluded with a presentation by Garabet Kazanjian, titled “Digital Twins of the Ocean: Think Global, Twin Local”. Then, a panel discussion was moderated by Kazanjian together with Anton Ellenbroek, Zoi Konstantinou, and Malcolm Heron.

At the end of the joint workshop of Iliad and Blue-Cloud 2026, which took place at the #OCEANS2025 Conference in Brest, Sara Pittonet Gaiarin and Bente Lilja Bye gave a summary of the digital twins of ocean technologies, services, and tools presented.

🌊The #OCEANS2025 conference began this morning with welcome remarks by René Garello from the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society. It was followed by a Plenary Session with presentations by Zoi Konstantinou (DG Mare), Bente Lilja Bye (Iliad Project), and Lucie Cocquempot (IFREMER).
