Dominate the zone or DTZ is our philosophy Beacons Baseball. Win every pitch, but especially your 0-0 and 1-1 counts. Throw your best pitch often and have the confidence to throw it in the zone.

I think a lot of pitchers, especially when they just get to college and become POs, reach a point where they stink at playing catch. Like yips level. Unable to make a good throw without being at 60ft and throwing with intent. Resist that. That’s why we do PO infield.

Just got off the phone with a pitcher I had for two years at my previous school. He also moved on and will make his first D1 start tomorrow. He “just wanted to talk ball” and that was cool to me. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that you have nothing without good relationships.
