Regent's Park: A.M. vismig was a nullity, predictably, but I flushed a calling Common Snipe (foy) from the ditch area by London Zoo as I arrived at 05:30, so it was worth the early start.

Regent's Park at dawn: first time I've heard two different Cetti's Warblers singing - one in area 1 (vociferously), the other in area 32 (once).

Regent's Park: warbler update - apparent fledgling Cetti's Warbler and Whitethroat in areas 1 & 34 respectively (also two males of the latter species singing, the second in area 36). 8+ male Reed Warbler but Reed Bunting & Sedge Warbler appear to have left after failing to breed.

Labour are backtracking on a plan to help save birds: by blocking a new rule that would make developers put a £35 nest brick in every new home. They think it'll help win them votes - we need to show it would do the opposite. Sign the petition 38d.gs/zcpv
