Brian Murphy was an important player in Joan Littlewood’s theatre workshop company when I joined in 1972. He was an inspiration. Always kind and always brilliant and so very funny. My condolences to Linda and his family.

Staying at Seven hotel in Southend. Very nice BUT after 7.0pm restaurant closed tried to order on room sevice. Nothing available but awful toasted sandwiches. What a disappointment. Don’t go there

So sad to hear that Ken Colley has left us. A fine actor. We worked together on Moving Story in the mid 90s and he played a part in Hold Back the Night, a film I directed in 1999. He was fearless, funny and full of mischief. A real talent.
