A locum shift spent covering resus has slightly renewed my faith in my career choices for now

Recently had a very elderly patient return one evening shortly after discharge because the bus driver wouldn't accept their bus pass (from the stop outside the hospital) Imagine being that driver, I hope he slept well (We got the patient transport home)

This rockstar attitude to resus is sad. "Shame" that he got ROSC so couldn't try DS defib. Whacking the LUCAS and pads on an elderly nursing home resident is not in anyone's best interest. No thought of weighing up the harm Vs benefit and giving this patient a good end of life.

Reps The BMA are standing together with UNISON Northern, other unions and local MPs against ParkingEye at South Tees Hospitals. With 10,000 signatories, the strength of feeling on this issue cannot be ignored. We again call on the trust to reverse their decision.
