Double standards in politics reached another low point with the pathetic reaction by A-G Dreyfus to a perfectly legitimate question by Sky reporter on the detainees’ release fiasco. The silence of fellow Cabinet members on his arrogant, finger-jabbing rebuke reeked of hypocrisy.

If this is where our taxes go in Australia, we should be rebelling in the streets. Whatever happened that early morning, why are we paying for this? Our country is so naive. SO many cases of waste like it.

So even Carols by Candlelight, in front of our youngest children, is not exempt from this madness on the other side of the world. Who’s bringing it here, who’s accepting it, who’s going to stop it destroying our way of life? Weak, weak leaders. Let’s fix it now.
