I was much more cheerful than I look! Thank you for coming to see The Charterhouse and pick up our annual present to the Lord Mayor

I am very pleased to invite applications for the fully funded doctoral project, Hidden Lives: A History of Women, the London Charterhouse and the Wider Community. This is a great collaboration between University of Oxford and The Charterhouse oocdtp.ac.uk/hidden-lives-h…

The stage is set for my talk at The Charterhouse This place never fails to take my breath away. Thanks so much Peter Aiers OBE for hosting me (and those two Tudor queens 👑) #anneboleyn #elizabethi Hodder & Stoughton (no longer active)

We have the great pleasure of hosting the Thomas Sutton The Charterhouse this evening and Tracy Borman OBE is on great form talking about Ann Boleyn and Elizabeth I, in our Great Chamber

Great to be back The Charterhouse this evening for Tracy Borman OBE’s captivating lecture on Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. Huge thanks to Peter Aiers OBE & Co for the warm welcome, as always, and for flagging the work of the Oxford partnership, including our recently advertised PhD

Another term, another round of internships! This week marks a whole year of collaboration between University of Oxford and The Charterhouse. And, as a special Christmas treat, I was entrusted with Bertie for the morning 🐕🦺 Huge thanks to Peter Aiers OBE & team for another excellent visit!✨

Our brilliant Oxford interns are working hard this week to explore women’s histories at the site. If you’d like to apply to recover more women’s stories connected to The Charterhouse, check out our collaborative doctoral award (closing date 5th Jan): oocdtp.ac.uk/hidden-lives-h…

Huge thanks to AlmshouseAssociation & Peter Aiers OBE for inviting me to be part of today’s workshop at the very grand Mercers’ Hall. Great to wear both my History & Heritage hats when discussing potential future directions for research on these important places & their communities

Congratulations to Tracy Borman OBE on her very well deserved OBE. We were fortunate to have Tracy deliver a fascinating Thomas Sutton Lecture here last year inspired by her book on Anne Boleyn and her daughter Elizabeth I, both of whom had connections to the Charterhouse.

This is such an important moment in the life of St Paul's Cathedral, very proud to have played a small part in getting here!

🌳 We were delighted to welcome Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King Michael Mainelli and the Lady Mayoress for the presentation of the first ripe fruit of the season from the Queen’s Mulberry in Preacher’s Court today. In a twist on the tradition, we hope they enjoy our Mulberry Gin as well! 🍇

I am pleased to announce that Alderman Vincent Keaveny CBE is to take over as Chair of The Charterhouse in November when Andrew Ritchie completes his term. We thank Andrew for his hard work over the last 6 years and look forward to welcoming Vincent in the Autumn.

We are delighted Alderman Vincent Keaveny CBE CBE will be joining as our Chair of Governors when Andrew Ritchie CBE steps down in November. Vincent brings a wealth of experience including in the City of London; we are looking forward to welcoming him to our community. thecharterhouse.org/blog/vincent-k…

Yesterday our Trustees met in person for our quarterly Board meeting, kindly hosted by The Charterhouse. The meeting marked the occasion of the official handover to our new Chair Carole Souter, and the induction of our newest Trustee, Deepika Kanthavara Madhava. 👏
