Bad things going on in the world right now, but this embargo on the film I just walked out on today is worse than all of them combined. An injustice of cosmic proportions. Praying to God to somehow lift this burden so I can save others from the suffering I had to endure today.

Wow. I can't believe I saw this movie 5 times in the movie theater. How embarrassing. I was 19, though. But still. I must atone for this.

Oh boy this film needed this restoration. I walked out of a screening of it two years ago because it looked like a DVD-R was being projected.

Sometimes actors have to lift a premise and it's HEAVY. This is Herculean work from these two actors. Go in blind and leave in awe.

Stop the tyranny of celluloid fetishism! Break the chains of film-viewing elitism--go see ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER on DCP!!!!!!!!😂🤣

Peter Rinaldi (@peter_rinaldi) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Take this from a guy who used to put celluloid in his mouth to see which side was the emulsion—both prints I saw of ONE BATTLE and ANORA looked terribly blown out. This celluloid renaissance is a farce. Seeing old movies on film is very different from seeing new movies on film.

HARD agree. In fact, I almost LITERALLY booed when it was over. And I was at a protest and on a panel in the early 2010s in support of Panahi. I even made a short film in his honor. ACCIDENT is his worst film. Its reception is baffling.

Notice how it’s somehow the government’s job to legislate a few Bible verses on human sexuality over our entire country, but it’s suddenly “not the government’s job” when it comes to the +2,500 Bible verses calling for a generous use of wealth that prioritizes the poor.
