The stakes are high in Paradise Blue, where every choice challenges the boundaries of justice and survival. This play doesn’t just entertain—it sparks the kind of important conversations that lead to action. Be part of the movement

Paradise Blue is part of Dominique Morisseau’s powerful Detroit Cycle, a trio of plays that interrogate the soul of her hometown. Set in 1949 Detroit, the play immerses us in the jazz-filled streets of Black Bottom, a neighborhood facing erasure due to urban redevelopment.

Did you know Paradise Blue is part of Dominique Morisseau’s Detroit Cycle? This acclaimed playwright, often compared to August Wilson, brings raw emotion and lyrical beauty to her work. Her writing has been described as ‘poetic’ and captures the essence of her characters. 📷: AP

Every actor has a scene that stays with them long after the curtain falls. One of our cast members reflects on the moment in Paradise Blue that changed them forever. “It’s a moment of pure vulnerability—when the character lets everything go. That’s when you know it’s real.”
