Proposed plan for a development in St Anne Street (thanks Liverpool1207), which looks remarkably similar to the stairwells of the Gerard Gardens tenements where I lived, they were located in nearby Christian Street.

Great night watching Baiana on the Philharmonic Music Room. A real authentic Brazilian sound. Well done to Laura, Micky Dunne and the rest of the band for your musical expertise.

This photo of my Dad was taken 80 years ago today in Sydney Australia. Whilst the people of the UK celebrated VE Day, my Dad's war continued as he was posted to fight the Japanese in the Pacific, he was 19 years old. This photo appeared in the local newspaper.

What a night watching Bruce Springsteen at Anfield. Solid performance throughout, the musicianship was off the charts. It’s been a long wait for Bruce to play Liverpool, and he didn’t disappoint, spectacular.

Worrying start to the gig tonight when Lionel, the drummer with The Christians suffered a cardiac arrest three songs into their set. Sting eventually appeared as the sunshine lit up the Liver Building. He kept the crowd updated on Lionel’s progress, hope he makes a full recovery.
