(2/3) Very proud of this #TexasScience group right here who knows how to band together as a team and get things done. #humblebrag #checkegosatthedoor #drivenbypursuitofscientifictruth ClubCambronne

Kudos to my colleague Lulu Cambronne & collaborators (ClubCambronne, Baur Lab, & more) for a beautiful paper nailing down the long-missing human mitochondrial NAD+ transporter. A tour de force, using humanized yeast to boot! rdcu.be/b6YBL

The really nice aspect of seeing these papers independently tackle the problem from such different directions means that the supporting evidence for the central discovery is now very, very strong. A big advance for our basic understanding of mitochondrial NAD+ metabolism!
