I agree, but it is also a hugely underinvested station. Much of it was the same when I was a child passing through it in the 1970s. Check out Leeds and Manchester Piccadilly to see what some TLC can do.

Very sad to hear about the death of the inspirational, former Chief Executive of Manchester City Council, Sir Howard Bernstein. He leaves a great legacy. We need more people like him in public service today.
