Today being #postboxsaturday, I ran across this delightful example upon the main street in Newcastle, County Down. Can Cecil reach up to post his letter? ✉️ Who can say? #paulhtubb #drawingfunnypictures #EnglishAbsurdity

Today, as well as being the Birthday of star of the Nun, Taissa Farmiga, it is also #blackcatappreciationday. Coincidence? An adorable Black Cat used to always visit our cats. She was such a gentle soul.

Some Gentle humour on a gentle morning, as I ease gently into the week, with our gentle houseguests. And for that, Patrick McDonnell's Mutts, is perfect. (MUTTS ) So I am being alliterative again with another morning of Comics, Cats and Coffee #nonsensicalornithology

Public displays of Laurel and Hardy, never a bad thing. Add in a member of the #NonsensicalOrnithology family and you have a perfect post for #WhimsicalWednesday. This #LaurelAndHardy ornament can be found in The Craic'dpot coffee shop in Armagh. #drawingfunnypictures

Beauty nourishes the soul Absurdity awakens the braincells, (as master of nonsense, Theodor Giesel says) It's time for my weekly effort to combine the two... That's right it's #FlowerPowerFriday with those #weirdnotwonderful creatures. #beautymatters #FlowersOnFriday

A slow Sunday morning in Bed, with a lazy feline whilst reading some John Betjeman. It really is the simple things in life... #JohnBetjeman #drawingfunnypictures #paulhtubb #catsandbooks

The unpleasantness of this individual's superiority complex aside, the local chip shop is something one does not sneer at. Especially as it has now triggered in me the yearning for the Chips I enjoyed as a teenager, walking around Coventry. One will never taste the like again.
