Lead tokens are still a bit of a mystery needing further study-calling any keen bean PhD students?-but this one is notable as its the fourth token of the hatched cow design from the same area. Maybe this can tell us about a local sense of identity? #FindsFriday

In July we celebrated the festival of archaeology. we wanted to keep this running by highlighting different forms of creativity under a couple of themes. For August and Septemeber we'll be highlighting bespoke pieces of creativity much like the Didcot Mirror! #OxonArch

One of Ed’s favourite finds is a wooden bowl fragment found in #Yarnton. It’s a rare find and a lot of care an attention went into making bowl. While that’s interesting for Ed it acts as a reminder on what we are missing in the archaeological record for the Bronze Age.

One of Angie’s favourite items is the gold bead dating to the 7th century. It’s rare to find just one bead, was it accidently dropped? Were other beads found in the past? It raises lots of questions and gets the imagination going.

Hello! I'm doing a project with parents of children who have experienced exclusion from school (or lack of inclusion). We're making 1533 crochet squares 10 x 10cm, one to represent each of the 1533 children excluded each school day in 2022. Would anyone like to help? Please share
