Today is World Anatomy Day. A day to acknowledge those who selflessly donate their bodies for the education of others. We can learn a lot from body donors. We use anatomical terms to translate the language of their body. They are our first patients and silent teachers.

I have to deliver a lecture on the pelvis, and I would like to avoid talking about “normal” female and male, and make it a bit more inclusive. Does anyone talk about gynecoid, platypelloid, android and anthropoid instead?

We are human beings. We are people's sons, brothers, friends, boyfriends. We feel and love and need a safe place to live. We pay both council tax and rent to have this safe place and yet, we live with an imminent threat to our health. (10/x)

Would you want your family to live like this? Would you want your son, your brother, your friend, your lover to keep getting sick from black mould? We are people. Do you not care? And if not, why? What's missing from your soul that you can leave people like this? (11/x)

Greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS) : a common cause of lateral hip pain. Traditionally thought to be due to trochanteric bursitis, but studies shown GTPS attributable to tendinopathy of the gluteus medius and/or minimus with or without coexisting bursal pathology.
