You’d think with all the money coming in from tourism #Venice might rise to business shelters at Piazzale Roma so ppl waiting for airport bus wldn’t get drenched when it rains - as it presumably does quite a lot in winter.

In #Venice airport. Of 8 cubicles in ladies loos, two out of action as glass doors have shattered. Have noticed tendency to use reinforced glass in public places in #İstanbul too & in short time also shatters. Why do we always “modernise” things that had worked well for decades?

Also, standing in line at “check-in” desk for BA in #Venice airport. Crawling along as in old days before we checked in online and downloaded own boarding passes. In heaven’s name, why? Haven’t experienced this in years.
