Thanks to City of Edmonton Youth Council's Anwi for making time to talk with M Strembitsky EPSB 6s. This Gr 11 student got involved because she wanted to take her passion and volunteer efforts to a municipal level after being on school council. She certainly inspired this class to get involved.

Ukrainian Families were some of the 1st families to settle in Treaty 6 territory, before Alberta was a Province. There are many instances of friendship between Indigenous & Ukrainian peoples that highlight the Spirit & Intent of Treaty 6. Our thoughts are with their kin back home

I am devastated to hear of the violent incident that took place at McNally High School yesterday. I am sending my love to the young man fighting for his life and to his family and loved ones. I hope that he makes a full recovery. 🙏🏽 #YEG
