For anyone who’s been wondering about doing this, I bought & donated a Nomad e-SIM for $32 USD. Pretty easy. It was activated after a few days & someone’s now using it. It’ll work till ~end of Dec & I think I can even top it up. The person uses so little data. I hope they’re ok.

if anyone wants to know how surreal and fucked up this moment in history is, I've been trying to schedule phone calls to interview Palestinians for my journalism and they keep getting canceled because they get killed by bombs. just so you understand.

I’m safe but still have pain in nose and teeth after being beaten by Israeli army. I gave them all my family’s passports, including my American son’s but they didn’t return anything. Also my clothes & my children’s were taken and not returned to me. No wallet, money, credit cards

Every time I come home I want to start writing fiction again. The experience would seem unbelievable as CNF and home’s particular demands are outside of what I can answer with poetry (maybe).
