Rookie Charley Trippi’s punt return touchdown in the 1947 NFL Championship Game. Trippi’s Cardinals beat the Eagles, 28-21. Red Grange, radio announcer for the game, said the run was incomparable to any other touchdown he’d seen. NEPA’s GOAT 🐐

Today, we honor Melvin Brown. Private Brown died of malaria in the Philippines on May 17, 1942, while in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Brown played center during his senior year in the 1938 season. Full story: facebook.com/share/p/1DcqNR…

The 1959 team consisted of a stellar class of athletes. In addition to these five, two other seniors, Jim Salve and Joe Monti, played in college—Salve at Buffalo University and Monti at Furman.
