w360event.com #education We have so many opportunities to apply wellbeing in our everyday work and, as Anthony Seldon says, we’re ā€œirresponsibleā€ if we don’t.

Enjoyed talking to Dave Monk yesterday about happiness. We have a poor vocabulary for describing how we’re feeling. We can always ā€˜borrow’ from others though. How are you feeling today?

The clearer you are about your goals and dreams the more likely you are to achieve them. Maybe that’s just to keep yourself head above water in these challenging times? But whatever it is remember that small, consistent changes can have big long-term consequences Xx

Mixed emotions anyone? What emotions do you feel right now? And an hour ago? Before that? Being able to label our emotions, identify where in our body we feel them & how strong the feelings are can help us choose our actions. How can you grow your emotion vocabulary this week?

Connection is so important for our wellbeing, especially now when we're likely to be feeling a sense of disconnection, loneliness or frustration. Creating micro moments of love can help you feel connected, lighten your mood & brighten someone else's. Choose your moment today.

It always helps me to remember that no-ones life is perfect and no-one is perfect! Some days are just extra tough! Love & light to anyone struggling or feeling like they are about to crack x These are strange times but we are more resilient than we think x

Happiness. Should we chase it? Live it? Be it? Find it? Buy it? How about looking to what you value most: creativity, humour, kindness, connection, nature, challenges, learning, spirituality ...and perhaps you’ll realise that it’s already there somewhere.

How many times did you do something that you really value this week? Did you miss any opportunities? How about planning to create more opportunities next week and notice what is different about how you feel.

The social animal in us may be hungry for interaction right now. How do others cope? What's their strategy? Ask this question of someone this week, and just make sure you stick around for the answer. You never know what you could learn. (Or you could always ask here) šŸ˜‰

What is blocking you from becoming all that you can be? What are the potholes that you keep falling into? The hurdles you cannot overcome? Be honest and real with yourself, don’t blame situations/others. Only you hold the key to your happiness.

How can something so seemingly small be so powerful? It really is. As you open your eyes have gratitude be your first thought. šŸ¤—

I am drawn to the phrase well-becoming as I feel wellbeing is more of a process/journey. It’s true that the more I learn, the easier it is becoming but it’s still not automatic, and I’m not sure it ever will be. I think I’ll always have to monitor & keep checking myself.

Sometimes, I needed to ā€œlabelā€ my emotions to help clear my head. This basic CBT skill has been powerful in helping me to deal with my emotions & lessen that horrible feeling of overwhelm. Imagine placing the various emotions in boxes eg that’s just fear; that’s just doubt...
