the thing is, the show ended perfectly. buffy got to finally have a life of her own outside of carrying the burden of being the only slayer. it was a story about growing up, not senile people trying to milk their glory days

you know, you could totally tell a story abt how slaying is hard and unfair. you could totally tell a story abt buffy struggling with adulthood. and then her overcoming that. except it already exists and it's called buffy the vampire slayer and it did it perfectly.
