Important update: the research phase of the next episode of the podcast is now done. The next episode, covering the conquest and colonization of Hispaniola and then Cuba from 1492-1524, can now move into the outlining phase, then writing.

Episode 5 of the podcast, The Four Horsemen, Part I, is currently live for Patrons and will go public on Monday, 10th of October, Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a fitting bit of timing because the episode is all about Columbus' wars to colonize the Caribbean.

Good and bad news re: my Cuba history podcast, Orígenes: A Cuban History Podcast Good news first: It is absolutely continuing and the next ep is basically 99% written and almost ready to record Bad news: it probably won't be done until I'm in Cuba, and once in Cuba uploading it will be hard

As some of you may have noticed, the pod now has professionally designed art! New intro and outro music, also done by independent Cuban artists, is also done and ready to use so the next episode should look and sound way more professional :)

Update on the podcast: -editing the recordings is almost done (currently 2/3) -I did what I said I needed to stop doing and turned this into another really long episode I could have broken into a bunch of separate episodes. This is genuinely a problem at this point

After a ton of delays, the next episode of the Orígenes: A Cuban History Podcast is now scheduled to go live on Saturday the 27th at 10:30 EST. The episode will be the first with professional music (by Yaxx Castillo) & art by Raupa (@/raupagonzalez on Instagram). Really excited to share!
