Awesome to see this work finally in print! Our chapter looks at the role of workers in keeping AI accountable. We draw from the Collective Action in Tech database to develop our theoretical model.

In 1987, the MIT Coalition Against Apartheid protested against MIT's ties to apartheid South Africa by erecting a shantytown. Today, in the same location, students are protesting MIT's ties to genocide & apartheid in Palestine via the Scientists Against Genocide encampment. 🇵🇸

My book is now available to download for free! Just like in nature, where survival hinges on adaptation, this book analyses how nations exploit (or get pushed from) new dynamics of structural transformation induced by climate. Let me know what you think! cambridge.org/core/elements/…

Excited to share this paper! The key takeaway is that the workplace is another arena in which AI reproduces existing inequalities: AI-related harms inflicted on gig/low-waged workers remain unresolved at a higher rate than those inflicted on professionals/high-waged workers.

Our new article draws from the recent history of tech worker organizing to argue that workers, if organized, can play an important role in shaping the future of the tech sector. Ty @seyramavle and Sarah Fox for inviting us to contribute.
