Happy Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! Promotion of the Rosary is, as many know, dear to the heart of the Dominican. The Dominican knows that the mysteries of Christ’s life and teaching reveal the heart of God. It is only through Christ that we come to know the Father. . .

Today we commemorate all the faithful departed (All Souls Day). We have a confident hope that is full of immortality (Wis 3:4), but the suffering we experience in our lives is a daily reminder of our human frailty. The death of the body remains, despite the triumph of the Cross.

Today the Dominican Order commemorates all the deceased brothers and sisters of the Order. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Photo šŸ“ø @lawrenceop

Today the Church celebrates the memorial of the Most Holy Name of Jesus! We do not see Jesus incarnate with our eyes, as people 2000 years ago did. But he remains incarnate in a lesser way in his body the Church, of which we are his members.

The path to joy starts with repentance. In this fallen world, none of us starts on the path that leads to joy, and everyone needs God’s grace to convert, to turn away from sin and head towards God. —Fr. Boniface Endorf, O.P.
