Care workers are not striking but arguably their need for fair pay is as important as that for nurses and paramedics. Without enough care workers the whole system grinds to a halt. Homecare Association Community Integrated Care Alison Holt Steve Barclay Helen Whately MP bbc.co.uk/news/uk-640258…

I have never known such love and support in my life than I’m getting this morning (England World Cup goals aside, possibly). I want to thank each and every one of you. It means a lot. I’ll continue to try and speak up for those poor souls that have no voice. Cheers all. 👊🏻

Welcomed by Bristol Women's Commission on #InternationalWomensDay to talk about social care as such an important equality issue. 85% of workforce female, lowest paid, with poor health outcomes. Needs to be seen through lens of inequality and not just care crisis.National Care Forum

We are delighted to be part of West of England Mayoral Combined Authority £82m government funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund to retrofit 3000 homes in the South West. This funding will help improve over 140 of our homes, making them warmer and cheaper to heat🏘️ #SHDF

So pleased that Brunelcare has retained our G1/V2 status with Regulator of Social Housing after recent IDA including pilot for consumer reg. Recognition of hard work by all.

We have worked so hard to keep the RLW for all our carers, a 10.1% increase. But gutted that nearly all our public sector commissioners have barely scrapped a 5% increase, with several LAs at 0%. Fly's in face of cost of care and platitudes about integration. National Care Forum

📢We are proud to announce that we have renewed our accreditation with the #LivingWage Foundation, meaning all Brunelcare employees will receive the new real Living Wage rates of £10.90 or above!🔽 Living Wage Foundation Bristol City Council
