We’re hugely grateful to receive £950,000 from the Cultural Recovery Fund HM Treasury Department for Culture, Media and Sport Arts Council England. This allows us to continue employing freelance artists to present concerts and do vital work in our local communities until the end of the year. #HereForCulture

Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden suggests theatres could be given a 'not before date' for reopening of March/April. He says the announcement of such a date will come at least three months prior to give venues time to prepare.

It’s good news for venues, organisation and institutions – but it’s not putting the workforce back to work or money in their pockets. MU General Secretary Horace Trubridge spoke to NME about the Culture Recovery Fund, #SEISS and why #MusicDeservesBetter nme.com/news/music/mus…

Wishing our friends Bristol Old Vic huge success with their #SeatOutToHelpOut. Seat-matching = performances/how to cope with social distancing/audience safety/much needed work for our freelance workforce... Please make it part of the plan for the cultural recovery @DCMSArts

If social distancing for audiences is here to stay, Oliver Dowden and Rishi Sunak will need to pay for the the empty seats. #SeatOutToHelpOut There is no simpler way to make venues viable again and help rebuild the creative economy. OneVoiceCampaign thestage.co.uk/opinion/theatr…

2. Q: Can arts venues open for rehearsals and to stream performances? A: Yes. Arts venues are places of work, so people can come into them for work, if it cannot be undertaken from home. This includes rehearsals and performance. Audiences are not permitted.

1/2 PLEASE Department for Culture, Media and SportArts @DCMS. We understand the delay but need clarity on what performing arts guidelines might be issued in stage 4. Tomorrow our board will have to make a call affecting over £120k of freelance musicians’ earnings. We’d like to protect as many of those jobs as

Another difficult day for friends & colleagues in theatre. I’m sad that so many are now facing further uncertainties & additional anxieties after a tremendously difficult 15 months. I feel for those now rethinking plans, or simply wondering how they survive this. Brutal.
