New builds by Ben Pentreath in Chichester. Note how the windows are set back from the wall plane, creating a sense of depth and solidity. Knapped flint with brick 'dressings'; sound proportions; careful detailing on the arches, railings and doors. Simple but very pleasing.

Love this ~ remarkable chain-link column, dating from the 12th century, at the Church of St Lazare in Avallon, France. Image at R shows it surrounded by more variations and carvings

💫WONDERWALL WEDNESDAY 💫 The Barn at Boraston Court Farm, Shropshire. This Grade II listed building has extremely striking brickwork pierced by ventilation holes, yet currently remains vacant and is in need of restoration ♻️ 🛠️

Historians have discovered what they believe is the headstone of the worlds oldest man. Apparently he was 194 and was called Miles from London.
