Appreciation post for Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research's Our Heart Hub. Seeing this page for carers of people with #HeartFailure meant a lot today -- knowing the family can have support and not having to hunt for it piecemeal. Thank you ❤️ ourhearthub.ca/caregiver-supp…

A HUGE milestone for care providers! Canada will offer permanent residency to care providers from abroad. This is something we've been advocating for + what caregivers + care providers say they need. Thank you Min Marc Miller ᐅᑭᒫᐃᐧᐅᓃᐸᐄᐧᐤᐃᔨᐣ for giving hope to millions. #CdnCaregiving #CdnPoli

A promising development: The Japanese government seems to be taking action to recognize and support young carers. 'Japanese government adopts plan to strengthen policies for children' www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ne… The United States should do the same. #CaregivingYouth

While there is no direct research on how many Young Caregivers support a loved one with an ABI. We do know that around 41% of identified YCs in Canada support someone with a disability and around 50% of YCs care for multiple family members and for multiple reasons.

Family caregivers often run out of time to take care of themselves. Try to find a way to make time for yourself so you can recharge and be the best -you- you can be, not only for your loved ones--but for yourself. You deserve it ❤ #VacationVibes

Imagining a #Triathlon for carers...Whatever you are facing, you got this! (Today's Olympic triathlon was postponed. Everyone faces setbacks--what matters is how you face up to your challenges!) #SickNotWeak
