HCP's can help individuals adopt healthy lifestyles, however this process is complex and influenced by many factors. Understanding these challenges can help people with MS and their families better collaborate with healthcare teams to tackle these hurdles together. MS Australia

Thanks A/Prof Claudia Marck for teaching me this new term! Let’s challenge interventions to tackle social determinants of health before reverting back to addressing lifestyle issues. #RIMS2024

Eye spy our scoping review A/Prof Yasmine Probst (she/her)! Shared to raise awareness of the complexities and multi-layers of behaviour change and where the current evidence base strongly lies. A real feel good moment from session 1! For full publication 👇🏼 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38226556/

Did you know ballroom fitness has many benefits for MS outcomes including balance, coordination, wellbeing and quality of life? I’m sure we will find many people dancing in the next session break. Unfortunately no demonstration was provided in the presentation. 😀 🕺🏼 RIMS - Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis

Sleep is a vital part of MS rehabilitation and is associated with QOL. Two simple questions you can ask people living with MS to assess their sleep quality are: 1. Did you sleep well last night? And 2. Do you have a good quality of life? Thanks Martin Langskov-Christensen 💤💤💤

I am by no means an EDI expert and think it is great that we are able to recognise the concepts of equity, diversity and inclusion as a core component of RIMS - Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis. But we sure have a long way to go to see its true reflection in MS efforts.

Poster 108 RIMS - Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis: Behaviour change is complex and we must consider social drivers that influence why and how someone living with MS modifies their health behaviours to reflect what’s happening in a real world setting.
