It's an honor to be working with CZI Science, Sham Kakade and many others to build the Kempner Institute at Harvard University. It will push and blur the boundaries of and between computational neuroscience/AI/ML to learn how the brain computes, improve AI/ML and better lives of people.
Greatly looking forward to this! Heavily inspired by Jeremy Alden Teissere’s remarkable courses Mind & Brain and States of Consciousness Muhlenberg College. Harvard affiliates can sign up below: forms.gle/f862gDbehf1tEc…
Our paper on pain-breathing interaction is out today. Kudos to everyone involved! Especially Shijia Liu for her hard work and perseverance. bit.ly/3IXsuFo

Wonderful to see Simon d'Aquin's PhD work from the Lüthi lab out in Science today. He describes compartmentalized dendritic plasticity in amygdala projection neurons during fear learning - using in vivo 2P imaging through GRIN lenses. Have a look: science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Fantastic work from @Jonna_Singh_ & Andrew Lutas! Critical push forward in our understanding of how intracellular signaling can translate fast neurotransmission into other timescales.
The only person I know to have written an entire review before finishing their qualifying exams: the indominable Gizem Terzioğlu
