This mechanic is resistant to player KO, flying, sleeping, rebooting, etc. Final update: There is only room to store 10 uncaught shiny Pokémon. If your entire shiny storage is filled, you'll still encounter shiny Pokémon, but any you do not catch WILL erase older Pokémon!
