Photo of the Day: Karly Just qualified for nationals for the first time with a runner-up finish at the NSAA Championships last year posting a 6K time of 23:23.4. With her runner-up finish she earned First Team All-Conference honors. Just is two-time All-Conference runner.

It was 2013, UJ came to The Bubble to play the VCSU Women. The place was packed, and the student section was electric. The Vikings beat the Jimmies 54-48. VCSU reached the National Tournament one month later. They are being inducted into the Viking HOF this year. – C.J. Kotta

In this week's Viking Timeline Week 4, Part 1: We look back at the years 1946-1950. Six conference championships in three in sports. And five Hall of Famers made their mark during this time, Joe Humphrey, Buzz Ratzlaff, Dale Noack, Eddie Otto, and Lowell Noack.

Viking Timeline Week 4, Part 2: The football won three conference titles in 1947, 1949, and 1950. The 1949 conference championship team was undefeated going 8-0. The offense scored 235 points; the defense held the opponents to 126. The 1949 team was inducted into the HOF in 1989.

Viking Timeline Week 4, Part 3: Men's Basketball won back-to-back titles in 1948-49 and 1949-50. The 1949-50 team had a record of 13-1. Overall, the team finished with a record of 26-6. The 1949-50 team was inducted in the HOF in 2001.

Viking Timeline Week 4, Part 6: HOF Buzz Ratzlaff (1946-50) earned all-conference honors three years while leading the Vikings to football titles in 1947 and 1949. He also earned one letter in track. He was inducted in 1992.

Viking Timeline Week 4, Part 7: Dale Noack (1946-50) was an all-conference quarterback on 2 championship teams. In the late 40's, the passing game was not prevalent, yet Dale was credited with several game-winning touchdowns. He played basketball in 1947. He was inducted in 1989.
