so much of my creative process is having a grandiose concept for an illustration, realizing I don't have the patience to render the complicated bits, and finding some way to make the piece look cool anyway without them

being an artist is a double-edged sword because the ability to draw becomes such a large part of you that when you lose that ability for whatever reason, or when your art begins to worsen, your entire sense of self is affected. who am I, then, if I can't draw?

“i hate it here” is for the tortured book and fantasy girlies, for the introverts, the ones with trust issues. the evermore and midnights stans, the hopeless romantics. the ones who use music as an escape, the daydreamers. the quiet ones, the poets no one listens to.
