The USA fills 70% of its STEM needs with talent from India, the birth country of 20% of the world's population, but traps them in a system of lifetime indentured servitude. Congress keeps debating while both citizens and immigrants suffer.

Some portray H-1Bs as cheap and O-1s as talented, but O-1s carry a higher risk of fraud. Elon, Sundar, and many top talents came on F-1 → H-1B, not O-1. Real talent is proven by growth—those in top U.S. tech roles have already shown it.

Prioritize green cards for long-term legal residents (10+ yrs) with approved petitions. Keeping millions in limbo while bringing new ones in via family/diversity hurts fairness—and forces citizens to compete with indentured workers tied to employers.

People on family/diversity visas can vote after 5 years. But skilled immigrants, here legally for 10+ years with approved petitions, still can’t. Why? Is that good for America? Give long-term legal residents citizenship—and a voice and freedom.

Last week, I joined a bipartisan push to expand domestic visa renewals for H-1B and other low-risk visa holders. It's time to modernize our visa system by reducing costs, boosting efficiency, and keeping America competitive.

First millions were kept in limbo, without the freedom to change jobs or travel, simply because of their country of birth — and now they are being hit with extra taxes when they have to go back. marketplace.org/story/2025/05/…

Congressman Rich McCormick, MBA MD Please push for a bill that prioritizes granting green cards to legal immigrants who have been living in the USA for over 10 years. Why keep million in indefinite waiting as Indentured, while bring in new immigrants and granting them green cards and voting rights

Ajay Jain Bhutoria Secretary Marco Rubio Ajay Jain Bhutoria Can you please advocate to introduce a bill that prioritizes granting green cards to legal residents who have been living in the USA for over 10 years? All democratic countries grant democratic rights to legal residents after a certain number of years.

#POTUS, Please end the practice of keeping high-skilled STEM workers in an indentured state. Grant democratic rights to those who’ve lived and contributed here legally for over 10 years.

Kitty skylar Ajay Jain Bhutoria Secretary Marco Rubio The U.S. immigration system gamed by creating an indenture system— allows U.S. companies to recruit workers from other countries without regard to their country of birth, then keep them effectively indentured because they come from large and populous nations.

Keeping millions in long-term limbo (effectively indentured) harms both citizens and skilled immigrants. Delaying to end of the per-country cap encourage employers to prefer tied workers and develop them as STEM talent.

The Big Beautiful Bill gives $100B+ to ICE, but nothing to legal immigrants in tech. No H-1B reform. No green cards for AI talent. No backlog relief. Just walls, raids, and asylum fees. This isn’t policy , it’s self-sabotage. While America chokes its own talent pipeline, China

If you are Indian, I would say 1. Germany (Welcoming immigration), 2. China (High tech future), 3. USA (country of birth discrimination) 4. India :) *USA immigration is pathetic. Ask other Indians & you may never come here *I am living in the US

President Trump, why base H1B only on salary? Propose green cards by salary + years served in USA, not just country of birth. Prioritize families here for decades over newcomers.

Origin Discriminated Immigrants Group (@odigroup) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The H1B system is flawed, and discriminatory, bringing people to keep 70% of them as indentured workers. As long as people are kept in limbo based on their country of birth, companies will have every incentive to hire immigrants from those countries.
