At 8:42 am deputies responded to assist OCFA with a localized gas leak near 21600 Stoven Haven Dr. The streets of Via De La Roca and Stonehaven are currently shut down to traffic and evacuations are taking place. Please avoid the area for the next 4-5 hours.

The City of Yorba Linda, our local first responders, and the Metropolitan Water District are participating in an emergency preparedness exercise at the Diemer Water Treatment Plant. Residents may notice some activity near Lakeview and Valley View avenues for this exercise.

UPDATE Earlier Coral Springs Police arrested an 18-year-old student of Taravella High School, Florida, in connection with the posts that were circulating in So California and Florida referencing a school shooting. The safety of the community and schools is always our priority.
