The Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces is today passing out trainees at the Terrain Operational Ground at UPDF’s training school in Kaweweta. Recruits were undergoing the Basic Military Training Course which they have successfully completed. They are being phased out today by H.E the President.

Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Jacob Marksons Oboth (MP) tables the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (Amendment) Bill, 2025 for first reading. Speaker Anita Annet Among refers it to Committee on Defence & Internal Affairs, and Committee on Legal & Parliamentary Affairs, for scrutiny.
