We are very greatful to CaixaResearch for funding the project that allowed us to explore the role of #mitochondria on epicardial function during heart development and repair after infarction.

A much-needed revision to clarify the terminology for nutritional interventions based on different forms of fasting/dieting International consensus on fasting terminology: Cell Metabolism cell.com/cell-metabolis… #TimeRestrictedFeeding #IntermittentFasting #CalorieRestriction

Interesting study showing that the effects of calorie restriction on glucose homeostasis is heavily influenced by the time at which the assays (GTT, ITT...) are conducted. Another variable to take into account! #obesity #diabetes #calorie_restriction cell.com/cell-reports/f…

Eating less can lead to a longer life: massive study in mice shows why nature.com/articles/d4158… We already knew that calorie restriction extends lifespan. The striking finding of this study is that life extension by CR is not always necessarily coupled to physiological health.

We are excited to announce that patient recruitment for the OBESIMM study has begun. Funded under the HDHL Nutrimmune program, it aims to unravel the effects of time-restricted feeding on health by using a multi-omic approach.

Last week, thanks to #AmgenTransferCiència & @fundaciorecerca, we introduced high school students from Institut Jaume Huguet to #immunology & #diabetes through hands-on ELISA to detect insulin. Guided by Julia Hernández, they didn't just learn about it, they did it themselves! 🚀
