Oban lifeboat launched this afternoon to assist a yacht that had run aground in the sound of Kerrera. Lifeboat stood by as the yacht refloated a short time after to ensure no damage sustained. All was well and yacht proceeded into Oban unassisted. #oban #rnli #alwaysoncall

Oban lifeboat launched yesterday evening to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service with a medical evacuation from the island of Mull. Also known as a ‘medivac’ it’s a lifeline service that our lifeboat provides to the many island communities in the area. #rnli #oban #community

It’s #InternationalDogDay and we have our very own #lifeboatdog in Oban; Flynn. His parents are our full time coxswain and a crew member and he’s used to waiting patiently ashore when the pagers sound. In his spare time he loves supervising routine maintenance onboard! #rnli
