Solidarity with NYUtoo, students must be kept safe from harrassment on campus!

I continue to be floored by student activism on a variety of issues. We have all had it up to here & are fixing to change things. I'm cautiously hopeful!

This needs to happen in #archaeology and #anthropology departments, conferences and fieldwork. So which of you faculty are going to step up, side with survivors, and self-improve for a better field? Or are you going to worry about network/power/face over safety and inclusion? 😐

NYUtoo Was astounded NYU brought Avital Ronell back after confirming such blatant abuse. I’ve read through her former student’s lawsuit and it was disgusting; she is a predator. Way to not allow the school to sweep this under the rug 🙌🏼 #FireRonellNOW New York University

These NYU students were inspired by Fire The Abusers disruption against Prof Sarkar, who requested nude pics from his students. Avital was suspended for sexually harassing a grad student and then was brought back. These students decided to let Avital know she is not welcomed!

We are appalled that Nancy and NYU German Dept. have denied tenure to the brilliant scholar & dedicated teacher Dr. Alys George. Shame on Nancy for continuing to employ abuser & harasser Avital Ronell while denying tenure to deserving and ethical professors like Alys. NYU GSOC|UAW
