I believe ASW planned STRIVE 2.0 as a way to buy time to properly fix the game. If this had simply been Season 5, they would have had to release a new character within this year, all while dealing with the countless in-game issues that have accumulated over more than four years

Can only pray this is the case. This game has perennially been only a handful of specific changes away from being one of the most enjoyable fg experiences ever.
