MD/PhD graduate student Jessica Crooker gave an outstanding work-in-progress seminar on genotypic and phenotypic characterization of emergent #Powassan virus strains that were isolated from the human-encountered ticks submitted to Upstate Tick Testing Laboratory Upstate Research

We are observing a notable increase in human–tick encounters this season, reflected by a substantial influx of tick submissions for pathogen testing.
