Consolidation in the airline industry has been a disaster for Americans left w fewer choices & higher prices. Southwest Airlines’s cancellations are the latest example. U.S. Department of Transportation should use its antitrust tools to protect fliers, starting w blocking the JetBlue-Spirit Airlines merger.

The Secretary of Transportation has consumer protection and antitrust powers to stop and remedy the airlines' misconduct and negligence. Buttigieg appears uninterested in using them.

I have a confession: when the original crispr papers came out, I didn't realize they were important. I thought I already knew what restriction enzymes did As I work now in communicating to smart people, diffusing that "already knew" mentality is one of my biggest challenges
