Slightly disappointed to see the proposal for the Picture Framer shop / workshop on Antigua Street (which is closing) to become another restaurant there (making 8 from 9 on that stretch being Class 3 use).

Aftermath of the Spiegeltent installation and associated concessions in St Andrew Square Garden. Hopefully there's sufficient time / weather for this to recover before the Winter festival begins.

The latest on the temporary toilets installed on Calton Hill - most would assess this as 'not going well' - perhaps time to go back to the drawing board ? bsky.app/profile/calton…

For information : seems very short notice & far from ideal for this heavily used path. More details from the newsletter on the CCG website.

For over a century, the Cockburn Association has engaged with Edinburgh’s many tram proposals, advocating a balance between transport and townscape. Our latest response calls for design quality, heritage sensitivity and real civic vision. tinyurl.com/4rp6j9x3

Christmas festive lighting - an aesthetic & sympathetic example on George Street vs. how not to do it on Frederick Street..... (The right hand image doesn't fully capture the unacceptable glare from these poorly directed internal floodlights).

The Council's Enforcement dept have responded to my request for targeted bollards & greater loading provision for businesses on Leith Walk below. Re final para: it's been suggested that an on-site walk down the Walk is held with councillors, Leith Central Community Council, & New Town & Broughton CC next year.

Joint statement by New Town & Broughton CC, Access Panel and LSEG on our objections to Rose St cycle plans here: bit.ly/4rYrCHc The report doesn't address serious concern at impacts on pedestrians (especially disabled). We hope councillors will reject its recommendations on Rose Street.
