The Nebraska State Patrol is aware of rumors that a Nebraskan or multiple Nebraskans were among the list of names created by the suspect in this weekend’s shootings of public officials in Minnesota. NSP has been in contact with the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding this

If you are traveling west across the state, be mindful of this crash.

Again… This is the second time in 10 days that a trooper’s cruiser was hit while responding to another crash. Thankfully the Trooper was not in the cruiser and was not injured, nor was the driver. Pay attention to the road while driving. First responders’ lives depend on it.

Another friend of mine was ran into last night. Crashes are happening and lives are being lost and most of this is preventable. Stop being in such a hurry to get where you are going. Leave earlier and give yourself extra time. Move all the way over and slow down.

Troopers stopped this vehicle traveling 103mph in a 65mph zone near 84th Street on Interstate 80. It’s takes a standard vehicle almost 7 seconds to come to a complete stop at that speed. We ask that you please drive the posted speed limit before someone else is killed. #NSP170

Today Trooper Landry was honored with this plaque from fallen officer, Ross Bartlett's family for his unwavering support throughout this year's police week in Washington D.C. We are grateful to be a source of support for their family as they continue to honor their loved one.

Construction season is in full swing across Nebraska. One major Nebraska DOT project is occurring just west on Lincoln on I-80. The speed limit in this area is 55 MPH. Slow down, stay focused on the road, and keep the road crews and other drivers safe.
