Starting off cycle 1 strong!

Students started off the day with lecture and learned a mnemonic to remember the states of ion channels. Then, after a break, more hard work in the lab!

We were so grateful to have Dr. Jason Gallant from Michigan State University join our class to share insights on the genetic basis and evolution of electrogenicity in weakly electric fish! ⚡️🐟 #NSB2025

We had an awesome time learning about the research our students, faculty, and staff are doing at home! We wrapped up our talks by drawing our model organisms on the whiteboard. 🪱🐟🐁🪰🐜🐢🧬 #NSB2025

After two weeks of hard work the leech module has come to a close! 🪱💪Students presented the results of their special projects and we celebrated a successful leech module. Thank you to our wonderful leech faculty and TAs for all of their hard work! Now on to Efish 🐟⚡️and STG 🦀
